Edwin is an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. Throughout his years of practice, Edwin has been exposed to and has experience in dealing with a wide foray of litigation matters including estate disputes involving allegation of forgery of a Will, contested winding-up proceedings based on just & equitable ground, post-winding up and liquidation process, prosecution of claims against former directors of a company for undue preference and fraudulent trading, defamation actions against individuals and a leading local publisher, securities-related litigation, professional negligence, various forms of injunctions and pre-emptive reliefs and other contractual and commercial disputes. Edwin has appeared before all tiers of courts in Malaysia, from the subordinate courts all the way to the Federal Court.
Edwin is a graduate from the Law Faculty of Multimedia University and was awarded with the Lexis Nexis Award in his final year of studies. In his university days, he managed to lead a team in securing joint 2nd place for written submissions in an Intellectual Property Moot organised by the University of Oxford. He was also part of a team which was crowned as the Malaysian champion in the International Humanitarian Law Moot and represented Malaysia in the international rounds of the said tournament.
Men Dy is a founding partner of the firm and specializes in corporate and commercial litigation. She has experience in representing clients in various contractual claims including a contractual dispute worth approximately RM100 million against an asset management company. She also has experience in acting for a shareholder in an oppression suit against another shareholder and director who has had a conflict of interest and committed a breach of fiduciary duties.
Men Dy also has a particular interest in corporate advisory work and is building an expertise in this area. As a litigator, Men Dy is uniquely positioned to anticipate and address potential risks and disputes that may arise in corporate and commercial transactions.
